The Welcome Table started in 2019 to serve free dinners with a gourmet flair each month to guests from throughout the community, including those who might not have many opportunities for fine dining experiences. One of our main goals is to build connections across the community by people sharing a meal with others they might not otherwise have met. Our guests come from many backgrounds –seniors, international students, new Moscow residents, long-time Moscow neighbors, and patrons of local community support programs.

Welcome Table dinners are possible with donated talent from local chefs, caterers, and many volunteers. Everyone is welcome, and the meal is always free. Guests are seated and served by volunteer waitstaff, sharing tables with people they might not have met before. Many guests tell us that sharing conversations across the table is their favorite thing about the Welcome Table. 

The Moscow Welcome Table is a program of the 1912 Center and the non-profit Heart of the Arts, Inc., and is funded by private donations and grants.
